The calculator counts days from the start date to the end date, exclusive of the start date by default. Enable "Include start date" to count from and including the starting day — useful for event durations where Day 1 is the start.
Business days are Monday through Friday. The calculator excludes Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays are not excluded automatically as they vary by country, region and sector.
Adding 30 days always moves exactly 30 calendar days forward. Adding 1 month moves to the same day of the following month — January 31 + 1 month becomes February 28 (or 29 in a leap year). Use months when you need to respect calendar structure; use days for precise durations.
Yes. The JavaScript Date API automatically accounts for leap years — February has 29 days every 4 years (with the standard century exception), and all day counts reflect this correctly.
